Carole Ames did an excellent job working with our management team around communication and team-work. Our learning was enriched through her insightful and compassionate facilitation. As a team, we have embraced a new understanding of communication and this has enriched our connections and effectiveness. Carole has also been available for follow-up coaching and it has been invaluable in integrating the learning. We would definitely recommend Carole as a facilitator and coach.

This is truly a new way of organizing diversity program and I like it very much. This program allowed me to open up my mind and a better way to manage work and life, and get to know a lot of wonderful IBM women leaders from these sessions. It's always great to take a moment from a busy schedule to pause and think how to improve communication and set up the right expectation. As what we learned last weekend, the boundary is fluctuated and we could always find a way to communicate better and find a win win solution. I had been benefit a lot on by joining this year's session and last weekend session was a beautiful ending. Appreciate your hardworking helping us, very well done!

DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION PROGRAM, BEIJING CHINA
Our board and staff are always re-inspired and re-energized after a session working with Carole.
Carole brings a broad perspective and a great deal of creativity to her work, which is also grounded in her pragmatism and solid knowledge of organizational leadership in both the not-for-profit and business sectors. She is clear, direct and comes across as genuinely interested in the work and the people of the organization she is working with. She also has strong and effective conflict resolution skills that help people pause, listen and move forward together with respect out of those occasional stuck places we can all encounter.
Carole works in a flexible, respectful and collaborative manner, assisting group members to bring forward their own thinking, clarify what is important and connect it to the next steps of an action plan.

I'm pleased to say that (we) are getting along well again. We're laughing together a lot more and we're back to more of the ease of being with each other that we were used to before we got into this power struggle. It helped so much to have you shine a light into our shadows so we could see how we were getting into conflict.
We're doing SO much better than we were! Thanks again SOOOO much for your help!

international management work
The Haven owes a debt of gratitude to Carole for her hard work over the 8 years she has been Director of International Relations. There are many factors that have contributed to the success of our programs in China, and a key one has been the skill, dedication and passion that Carole has brought to her role. Thank you Carole for your part in establishing and maintaining this important part of our international work.

Haiwen owes you so much for [our] growing place in China. You have demonstrated much grace and great leadership in working with us through many challenges and difficulties. Without your generous support, understanding for and empathy with Haiwen as a growing company...we would not have been where we are at today. Together with The Haven in Canada, Haiwen stands for one the best quality programs in China in the field of the personal growth training. We owe you much for this success.

Carole - I want you to know how deeply I have experienced the gift of your caring and keen perceptions. I have found an ability to create and state my boundaries. I am willing to be more authentic. I have a greater sense of self and purpose. My Phase 1 experience has contributed to a more peaceful internal world and a more natural external world.
Perhaps the greatest compliment to your leadership is my strong attraction to registering for Phase 2 - in the faith that I will gain as much there as I gained from Phase 1. What I am enjoying the most since returning home is my sense of such personal progress with so little 'striving' - such a simple concept in the teaching, yet so profound in the 'being'.

It was wonderful being at the Haven, getting to know you and benefiting from your extensive knowledge and skill. Plus, I love your sense of humour! Thank you for everything!
MARY ELLEN BOND - NURSING FACULTY, COLLEGE OF THE ROCKIES
Still shifting, and loving it! I am finding more opportunities to create a shared laugh with people every day - who knew it could be so easy!

"LAUGHTERx - IT WORKS!"
My absolute favourite part of the course was literally a foot kicking, knee slapping, floor pounding, lose-your-breath-belly-laughing event for me... As I'm sure you noticed Carole, it didn't just break the ice', it melted the polar cap!
The other thing I found most useful about this terrific course was the challenge put forth to see how I use humour in my life along with learning how to use it as the remarkable healing force it can be. It gave me a new, unexpected tool for dissipating my anxiety and grounding myself. Thank you so much.

"THE QUANTUM LAUGH - SHIFTING WITH HUMOUR"
"The Quantum Laugh... exceeded my expectations" said participants, mostly unrepentant hard-core Haven regulars... Even creator, writer, producer, perfectionist and leader-facilitator Carole Ames seemed delighted by the results, as the audience praised her work... Carefully researched, fast-paced and in-sync with other Haven education themes, the weekend course is a fifteen hour laugh-a-thon.
